Kibby is a clinical psychologist who is passionate about helping people connect more deeply to themselves and others. A native New Yorker, she completed her PhD at the Duke University clinical psychology program and her predoctoral internship at Weill Cornell/NY Presbyterian Hospital. Her research and clinical work focus on how we can improve emotional and relational difficulties with contemporary cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT’s). She has trained in several forms of CBT’s, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. As a Vinyasa yoga instructor, she also draws upon this background by infusing her clinical work with mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches. She treats adults with a range of mental health struggles, particularly depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, emotion dysregulation, and relationship difficulties in general.
