Jenna is a board-certified music therapist and graduate of the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, where she received her Master of Arts in Music Therapy. Hailing from the south, she is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Therapy from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
For the past 10 years, Jenna has been working primarily with underserved children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral needs in New York City, through the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music as well as various other non-profit and community organizations. She believes that access to mental health care is a basic human right, and has a strong passion for working to provide services for all who need and want them. She also has experience working in psychiatric facilities across the country, with neurodiverse children and adults with Autism and other developmental needs, as well as older adults with Alzheimer's and dementia. Jenna is a singer, songwriter and actress, and enjoys performing with a band or solo, on any stage, in New York City and beyond. If she's not playing music for work or fun, Jenna loves swimming in the sea or hiking in the forest, and a good meal with friends & family.
