Mental Health Intern

I believe everyone deserves a safe space where they can be truly seen and heard. Caring for your mental health takes time, effort, and compassion, and I am excited to be part of your healing journey. I am warm, empathetic, and flexible, and my goal is to support each client at their own pace. My academic training and professional experiences allow me to integrate evidence-based theories and approaches with a multicultural perspective. Having lived in both China and New York City, I bring cultural sensitivity to my work and can provide therapy in both English and Mandarin.

Before entering the mental health field, I worked as a teacher, supporting students of all ages through a range of academic, emotional, and social challenges. While I loved teaching, it was the meaningful connections I formed with students that drew me toward counseling. In the therapy space, I believe healing happens through authentic relationships. I value collaboration, open communication, and honest feedback from my clients.

I am currently pursuing my Ed.M in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. I also hold an LL.B from China Foreign Affairs University, and an M.A. in Language Education from New York University. Outside of work, I enjoy yoga, drawing, and spending time with my family.
