Ashna graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences from the University of Arizona and is currently pursuing a degree in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. Ashna is passionate about creating an inclusive space where clients from various backgrounds can seek support in a manner that is beneficial within their cultural contexts. As a first-generation Indian female, Ashna has first-hand experience with stigma surrounding mental health and wants to normalize these conversations through her work. She aims to incorporate both a psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral framework to help clients address the root of emotions, and make thought processes more adaptive to functioning. Ashna’s goal is to provide a space that feels safe, collaborative, and encourages clients to grow toward their goals.
