Raven Maldonado is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Raven's passion for helping people thrive in all facets of life is reflected in her over 15 years of direct clinical experience with individuals and families as well as in her previous administrative leadership roles focused on clinical training, staff wellness, and organizational culture. Raven is a proud Puerto Rican woman who believes strongly in the power of relationship, mutual support, and in addressing the impact of systemic oppression on the mental, physical, and spiritual health of communities of color. She integrates her personal experiences growing up in the 80s/90s in New York into her work and brings her full self into relationships with clients and of course with family and friends. Raven received her Master's degree from LIU Brooklyn and has received training in Structural Family Therapy as well as in several evidence-based treatment models focused on reducing family conflict and improving parenting and the parent-child relationship. Raven is certified to run several parenting groups including Parenting Journey, Parents in Actions, Teens in Actions, Strengthening Families and has trained clinicians in several treatment models including Parent Training for Disruptive Behavior Disorders and PCIT. Raven currently serves as Faculty with the Parenting Journey Inc. organization. When not working, Raven enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and pet tortoise in Yonkers, NY and is all about family time, laughter, and leaning into joy as much as possible.
